Projects
Recent home improvement work across kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, and multi-room refreshes—each documented from assessment through handover.

Selected renovations and room transformations
Every project below represents a homeowner who needed reliable finish work without unnecessary demolition. Timelines varied from long weekends to several weeks depending on drying cycles, custom orders, and whether the home stayed occupied throughout.
Riverside kitchen & dining refresh
Cabinet doors were sprayed off-site in a soft sage green while existing boxes remained. New quartz benchtops, subway tile backsplash with dark grout, and luxury vinyl plank replaced dated laminate. Duration: eleven working days with kitchen partially usable after day six.
Master ensuite retile
Full shower surround demo to studs, new cement board, waterproof membrane, and large-format wall tile. Double vanity with stone top and wall-mounted faucets. Floor heat mat installed under porcelain tile. Client stayed in guest bath during work.
Heritage staircase restoration
Three flights of oak treads sanded and stained to match original banister. Squeaky risers secured from below. Hallway walls skim-coated and painted in breathable matte finish. Project completed with nightly cleanup for active household.
Dual-room repaint & trim upgrade
Home office converted from dark grey to warm white with new baseboards and door casings. Adjacent guest room received accent wall in deep teal and closet shelving rebuild. Low-odour products allowed same-day return to office desk.
How we document projects
Before photos capture existing damage, awkward transitions, and furniture layout constraints. During work we record substrate conditions—moisture readings, leveling measurements, primer types—so future owners or trades understand what is behind finished surfaces.
After photos pair with written summaries listing materials, warranty contacts, and maintenance tips. Clients receive a digital folder they can share with insurers, property managers, or future buyers. That transparency reduces guesswork when a touch-up is needed years later.
Project types we take on regularly
Single-room repaints and floor replacements remain the most common requests. Multi-phase work—basement finishing followed by main-floor updates—runs under a master schedule so trades do not conflict. Rental property owners often bundle turnover packages: paint, minor drywall, and fixture swaps between tenants.
Condo and strata projects receive extra attention to elevator booking, noise bylaws, and protection of common hallways. We coordinate with building managers so dust does not migrate into neighbours' units and work hours stay within approved windows.
Heritage and character homes demand matching existing profiles—baseboard heights, stain tones on mixed-era trim, lime plaster patches instead of modern compound where appropriate. Our portfolio includes several pre-war homes where owners wanted updates without erasing original mouldings.
Lessons from the field
Projects teach us continuously. A bathroom with inadequate exhaust taught us to include fan upgrades in wet-area quotes when moisture readings justify them. A kitchen with uneven subfloor taught us to budget leveling days before quoting rigid large-format tile. Those lessons flow into how we assess new jobs—not to inflate prices, but to prevent mid-project surprises.
We decline projects outside our scope, such as major structural moves or full custom home builds, but partner with engineers and builders when your renovation touches load-bearing elements. Clear boundaries keep our crews focused on finish quality.
